Atoy - Services for Rudolph Sessions, 81, Atoy community, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home chapel, Rusk, with the Revs. Roland Alsobrook and Charlotte Austin officiating.
Burial will be in Atoy Cemetery.
Mr. Sessions died Aug. 9 in Tyler. He was born Nov. 3, 1922, in Atoy community of Cherokee County. He retired as a master sergeant from the Army after 22 years service, having served during World War II and the Korean War. He had been a supervisor at Lufkin State School and was a member of Atoy United Methodist Church.
Survivors include brothers, Travis Sessions, Houston, Joe Sessions, Conroe, and Billy Sessions, Alto; sisters, Fatha Lee Brogan, Atoy, Mary Franklin, Leonard, Shirley Franklin, Alto, and Virginia Sessions, San Marcos; special friend, Lilly Mae Meeks, Illinois; three nieces; six nephews; and one aunt.
Pallbearers are Steve Franklin, Ron Sessions, Dennis Sessions, Alan Sessions, Doug Franklin and Bryan Sessions.
Honorary pallbearers are men of Atoy United Methodist Church and morning coffee friends.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
If desired, memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, 75701; or Atoy Cemetery Association.
