Earl Lee Fitzhugh, 86, of the Vineland community died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004 at the Thomasville Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with Rev. Jim Sowell officiating.

Interment followed at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Vineland.

Mr. Fitzhugh was a retired truck driver at MacMillan Bloedel, Inc. and was a member of the Vineland Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Wayne Fitzhugh of Monroeville and Johnny A. McManus of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Peggy F. Edwards of Aliceville and Sherian F. Sheffield of Grove Hill; one brother, Ollie Fitzhugh of Linden; one sister, Evelyn Pristupa of Atlanta, Ga.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers were Raz Fitzhugh, Jr., George Fitzhugh, Terry Smith, Dewayne Smith, Bernard Schroeder and Terry Smyly.

Honorary pallbearers were James Ramshur and Wilford Dailey.

Funeral arrangements directed by O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville.
