Duncan McDonald, an old settler of Harlem township, and a much respected resident, died at his farm home, about three miles north of Argyle, Monday evening. Mr. McDonald came to the Scotch settlement about 25 years ago, and by the sterling qualities of his make-up won and retained the respect and affection of the many who were among his acquaintances. Deceased was between 55 and 60 years of age, a farmer of that section and well off in this world's goods. He was a member of the Argyle Church and held in high esteem for his kindness, integrity and charity. Death was the result of a complication of diseases.
The funeral occurred to-day, Dr. Sutherland conducting the services. Deceased leaves a wife and family of grown up children.
