DOROTHY MARIE MEYER, 82, of Columbia City, formerly of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at her home. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Rosina Bradtmiller. She graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in 1943. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Columbia City, and a former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. She lovingly cared for her husband, Harold, and her four daughters. In the summer of 2007, they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Harold died in October 2007.
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Jim) Hartman of Lafayette; Deborah (Fred) Christopher of Muncie, Barbara (Dean) Doerffler of Fort Wayne, and Lori (Kent) Preston of Indianapolis; brother, Robert (Margaret) Bradtmiller of Warsaw; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Service is 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Rev. James Haugen officiating. Calling also from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
