(Barbara’s maiden name is unknown.) When they married in 1846, Barbara was 14 & Stephen was 21. They were in Wisconsin by the birth of their 1st. child in 1847. They moved to Minnesota by 1857.

Stephen also was listed in the “History of Money Creek, Houston Co., MN” as a “Constable” on 5-11-1858.

After her husband, James Beardsley, died in 1972, Edith remarried.

Her last husband was “Phillip ‘Herman’ Yeager” (1907-2004). Herman proudly served in the Navy during WW2. He is buried next to his 1st. wife Opal (1910-1979) in Morrowville, Washington Co., KS.

After Edith & Herman were married, they lived for several years in Truth or Consequences, NM where they were active in the local senior citizens’ center & with the senior dances. Edith played the organ, piano, & violin with several of the dance bands. But, she loved to dance with Herman so she weaned-away from performing @ the dances in order to dance more with Herman!

Herman’s children lived in KS while Edith’s were scattered between CA, OR, WA, & TX.

“Edith Veneta Alexander m: Beardsley m: Yeager” was sorely missed by her 5 children & grandchildren & friends when she died on 3-2-2004. P. Herman Yeager died 3 months later.
