Mary E. Fretz, widow of Daniel Fretz, died at her home in Monitor Monday evening at 6:45. She was born in the Heath community and was a member of the Bethel Lutheran church at Pettit.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Cleo Ohl, at home, a step-daughter, Sarah Myers, of West Lafayette; three brothers, John Etter of Lafayette route 4, Solomon Etter of Washington, D.C., and Samuel Etter of Oklahoma, and three sisters, Mrs. Francis Remaly and the Misses Phoebe and Emma Etter, all of Lafayette route 4.

The funeral services were held at the residence, Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. B. C. Shoup officiating. Burial was in the Oxford cemetery.

Mrs. Fretz's husband was a brother of the late Charles Fretz of this community.
