Visitation was held on Thursday, June 10th, at Schooler Funeral Home from 6:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Burial was Friday June 11th at 10:00 a.m., at Llano Cemetery Amarillo, TX. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, June 11th, at Lake Tanglewood Community Church, Amarillo at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Johnny Taylor officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia, Amarillo.

Sidney Adams was born on February 25, 1922 to Helen (Forbes) and Sidney Adams in Long Island, New York. He served in the 15th Armored Division of 6th and 3rd Army's during World War II. Sidney participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He worked in the Engine Lab at the Lubrizol Corporation in Wickliffe, Ohio and retired in 1980 to New Mexico. Sidney loved to fly and owned several private planes throughout his life. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by wife Alice Adams of Tucumcari, Sisters, Beatrice Stief of South Carolina, Audrey Hoph of Ohio, Son Eric Adams and wife Cheryl of Amarillo, Daughters Louise VanWickler and husband Randy of Cold Spring Hills, New York, Susan Cornett and husband Jeff of Sanford Florida and Grandchildren, Matthew Adams of Amarillo, Ann Bruck and husband Nate of Memphis, Tennessee and Scott Cornett and wife Jessica of Vero Beach, Florida. Two great grandsons, Dylan and Ethan Cornett of Vero Beach, Florida.
