Funeral services for Mrs. George A. (Lydia) Maddox, 78, were held at 2pm Friday at the Okay Church of Christ, with Pastor T.N. Tibbles, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, officiating. Interment was in Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee.
Mrs. Maddox was born in Clarksville, Arkansas, and had been residing in Sulphur Springs, Texas the past ten years.
Survivors include her husband George; two sons, James of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma and Gene of Arvada, Colorado; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Dodson of Muskogee and Mrs. Geraldine Posey of Okay, Oklahoma; three step-sons and a step-daughter; two brothers, Homer Gilliland of Okay and R.A. Gilliland of Muskogee; two sisters, Mrs. C.A. Stevenson of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and Mrs. Ethel Carter of Okay; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
