Services for Georgia Agan, 90, formerly of Chariton will be Tuesday, September 23 at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Davis City Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home in Chariton.

Georgia was born November 28, 1917 near Davis City, Iowa to James and Mae Hamilton. She graduated from Leon High School and received her teaching certificate. She lived in Chariton until 10 years ago when she moved to Des Moines. Georgia was a hard worker who was truly devoted to her family and friends.
Georgia passed away September 19, 2008 in Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Ralph Hamilton, Mabel Ackes, Margaret Doolittle, Ruth Pettit, Charlie Hamilton, and Claire Hamilton.
She is survived by her children: George (Carolyn) Agan of Sioux Falls, SD, Nelda R. Agan of Des Moines, Robert (Tanya) Agan of Venedy, IL, and Margaret Rose Megah of Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren: Toni (Steven) Brown, Tina Renada, Denise (Mike) Hundley, Lourene (Steve) Bennett, Wanda (Todd) Eikenberry, Andrea "Darcy" Richards, Jennifer (Will) Bushbaum, James (Jin) Agan, Sheila Agan, Joseph (Noelle) Agan, Ward Agan, Robert Agan, Georgia Agan, Delta Megah, BJ Megah, Eddie Duckworth, Tammy McDonald; 31 great-grandchildren; and eight great- great-grandchildren.
