Funeral services for Forrest C. Haddock, Sr., 83, of Westlake, will be held at 10am, Thursday, June 10, 2010 in Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wayne McEntire will officiate. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery, Edgerly.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 9th from 4pm – 9pm, and resume on Thursday, June 10th from 8am – until time of service. Mr. Haddock passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010 in a Lake Charles hospital. He was met at the gates of Heaven by his Parents: Ira & Ida Haddock; Sister: "Totsy" Moore; 2 Brothers: Don & Gordon Haddock.

Mr. Haddock served his Country in the United States Navy during World War II, joining on his 18th birthday. He served on the USS Arkansas during the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, where he watched the raising of the United States Flag on Iwo Jima. He retired from Tiger well service in Vinton as a pump specialist and salesman, having worked in the oil field his entire working career. He loved to square dance; go on hunting trips to Arkansas and songs about "Trains". The children would like to offer special thanks to their step mom Marie for the loving care of our Father. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Pat's Hospice, the Veterans Administration or charity of your choice. There was always love in daddy's hands.

His is survived by his present wife: Marie Haddock, of Westlake; 4 Children: Daughter, Susie "Scoot" Holmes & husband J.T. of DeRidder; Son: Cline Haddock, Jr., of Sulphur; Daughter: Sally "Dewdrop" Robertson, of Natchitoches, La.; Daughter: Lynn Dee "Caboose" Campbell & husband Frank, of Sulphur; 2 Step-Children: Sandy Singer & husband Gary; Michael Herbster & wife Brandi; the mother of his children: Mary Standridge Haddock, of Sulphur; 12 Grandchildren; Numerous Great grandchildren and a host of other family & friends.
