Charlie was son of George Washington Hull and Mary Louisa Gentry. His parents brought the family to MO in 1885 and he said he walked much of the time. On 7 Sep 1893 Charlie married Ethel Johns and they ere parents of 12 children. They raised their family at a farm along the road south of Bruner in the beautful Ozarks. Charlie worked at various times as a farmer, moner, and mailman.
