Patty was reunited with her late husband, Henry T. Ryan on March 18, 2007 after a long illness. She was 79.

Visitation at Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home, 2640 Monroe Blvd. (near W. Outer Drive), Dearborn Wednesday 1-9 p.m. with a Rosary at 4 p.m.

In state Thursday at St. Martha Catholic Church 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m.

Patricia Ann Houle was born April 25, 1927 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Irene Guindon and William D. Houle of Bay City, Michigan.

She was a 1945 graduate of Fordson High School.

She met the love of her life Henry T. Ryan of Roseville, MI on a blind date. A veteran of WWII, he worked for Michigan Bell for 40 years.

She was a statistical typist for Garwood's at the time. They were engaged on Valentine's Day 1947. They wed January 31, 1948 at St. Clement's Catholic Church in Dearborn.

Their union produced: Michael H. Ryan, 57, of Shell Lake, Wisconsin; Timothy P. Ryan, 55, of Ann Arbor, MI; Kathleen A Ryan, 50, of Dallas, Texas; Mark W. Ryan, 47, of Sterling Heights, MI; Karen L. Ryan, 46 of Fowlerville, MI; Terri Jo Ryan, 44, of Waco, TX; Renee Urbanski, 43, of Livonia, MI and Rochelle J. Ryan Prowse, 42, of Wassenaar, The Netherlands. Mrs. Ryan's grandchildren are Nicole (Ryan) Baker (husband Shane), Nathan and Danielle Ryan, all of WI; Ryan N. Cruz of TX and David, Daniel, Michael and Matthew Ryan of MI.

Other survivors include daughter-in-law Jackie Ryan, sons-in-law, Steve Urbanski and Richard Prowse; ex daughter-in-law Elaine Ryan, ex son-in-law Richard McCullough; "adopted" daughter Ann Jackson; great grandson Byron Baker of WI.
