ABBIE CYRENE OVERMOYER--96: died Sunday evening [3-03] at Miller Memorial Nursing Cntr following an extended illness. She was born 17 Dec 1888 in Williamsfld, a dau of Daniel & Della Yokes Hall. A lifetime resident of Wmsfld until the time of her death, she was the oldest liv-ing member of Wmsfld UM Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women. In earlier years, she was active in Wmsfld PTA, cooked at WmsfldSchool; drove a horse-drawn school bus. She was also a charter member of Wmsfld Grange & was known in the area for her practical nursing work & her baking. She played the violin & piano.
Survivors include 3 children: Leroy-Keystone Hts FL; Earl-Williamsfield; Gladys Carr-Canton; 10 grandchildren, 23 gr grandchildren & 3 gr-gr grandchildren. She was preceded in death in 1967 by her husband James Overmoyer, whom she married 24 Jan 1906; 2 bros: Harold & Lawrence & by 1 sis: Mayme Dodge.
Service will be Thursday morning [3-07] at Baumgardner Funeral Home-Andover. Burial is in Williamsfield Cem. Memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsfield United Methodist Church.
