Earvin "Whitey" Jolly, age 77, of Ewing, Kentucky, died June 1, 2010. He was born in Nicholas County, Kentucky, on February 6, 1933, to Harrison and Iretta Earlywine Jolly and was a farmer.
He is survived by: his wife, Opal Mattox Jolly; a daughter, Sandy Cooper; three sons, Rusty (Paula) Jolly, Earvin "Rooster" Jolly and Denver Jolly; two brothers, J.C. Jolly and Marion Jolly; three half-sisters, Janie Carpenter, Marilyn Sweet and Nellie Ellison; a half-brother, Eddie Jolly; a stepbrother, Jay Mitchell; and a stepsister, Izzie Jolly. He was preceded in death by: a daughter, Darlene Jolly; three brothers, Ronald Jolly, Wayne Jolly and Stevie Jolly; and two stepbrothers, Floyd Mitchell and Richard McCarty.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Price Bros Funeral Home, in Elizaville. Reverend Jerry Boling will officiate. Burial will follow in Elizaville Cemetery. Visitation is from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
