MRS. MABEL A. ASH
Mrs. Mabel A. Ash, 85, died Tuesday at 11:15 p.m. at the Upplegoes nursing home.
Born Sept. 14, 1882 at Muscatine, she was the daughter of John and Mary E. Nevitt Crabtree. She was a life resident of Muscatine.
She married Fred Abbott in 1899 at Davenport and married James Ash in 1951 at Muscatine. Both preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Glad Tidings church.
Survivors include three sons, Roy W. Abbott, California; Louis Abbott, Omaha, Neb.; Ralph Abbott, Council Bluffs, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Maynard (Eva) Newton. Mor-Hill, Calif.; Mrs. Edith George, Muscatine; and Mrs. Chester (Anna) Thompson Bellevue, Neb. Also, two sisters, Mrs. Delia Seih, Muscatine; and Mrs. Leona Sharff, Reno, NeV.; and a number of grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m., at the George M. Wittich funeral home.
Burial will be in Green wood cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening.
