Funeral services for Coye Strickland Barry, 82 will be held at 12:30 PM Monday in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South with Dr. Ronnie L. McKenzie officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until 4 PM, Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs Barry died Thursday, March 7, 2002 in Jacksonville. She was born on May 14 1919 in Jesup, Georgia. Mrs Barry was a member of Kernan Boulevard Baptist Church where she was President of her Sunday School class. Survivors include her husband Gerald C. Barry Sr., daughter Coye Juanita Johnson Brewster, two stepdaughters, Gloria Bell (Bob) Cohran and Janice Gail (Mark) Brummer. Three sons, Arlie David (Helen) Johnson, Lonnie Westly (Judy) Johnson and Paul Micheal (Joannie) Johnson. Stepson Gerald C. (Theresa) Barry Jr., 18 grandchildren 23 g-grandchildren and 2 GG- grandchildren.
