A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Horace Ruben and Ollie Howell Moody. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Earnest Pruett, who died in 1968; two daughters, Sandra "Sandy" Pruett and Shirley Pruett Mills; one sister, Ruby Taylor; and four brothers, Charlie, Ralph, Ed, and Fred Moody. She was employed at Welco and Silco. Geneva enjoyed teaching Sunday School for 15 years at Allens Creek Baptist Church where she was a member and part of the No. 4 Ladies Class. She also liked to crochet, sew, work puzzles, and read and loved to work in her beautiful garden.
Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery.
