Juanita Faye Payton Prunty, 82, of Ravenswood passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 at home following a long illness.
She was born February, 18, 1928, in Akron, OH, a daughter to the late Roy and Fern Schilsinger Payton. She was a nurses aide for many years at Jackson General and was a member of Pleasant View Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James [Elmore]Prunty [in 1985], daughter Eileen Elizabeth Simon [in 2002], and sister Martha Burns.
She is survived by her sons, James [Elmore] Prunty Jr. of Parkersburg, Franklin Lee Prunty of Ravenswood, daughters, Juanita Jean Bunnell of Ravenswood, Elain Sharon Guthrie of Massillon, OH, Donna Wright of Ripley, Shirley Murray of Sandyville, Denise Maryland King of Elizabeth, Angela Sue Hackney of Ravenswood, Regina Nuzum of Ravenswood, 1 sister, several grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Service will be today (Tuesday, June 1) at 1:00 p.m. at the Waybright Funeral Home, with Rev. Herman Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville.
Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley will be serving the family.
