VENITA DALE
Formerly of Sesser. Venita Dale, 99, of Lancaster, Calif., formerly of Sesser, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, in Lancaster. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the First United Methodist Church in Sesser, officiated by the Rev. Harold Quick. Burial will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the church. Mrs. Dale was born Nov. 12, 1905, in Jefferson County, the daughter of James G. Cockrum and Sonora Thurmond. She was married to Albert J. Dale, and he preceded her in death. A homemaker, Mrs. Dale was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sesser and the Women's Club. she is survived by a daughter, Norris (sic.) of Lancaster, Calif.; grandchildren, Cheryl Ann Norris of Lancaster, Calif., Judy Kay Cerruti of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and Michael Dale Norris and wife, Sandra, of Lancaster, Calif.; four great-granddaughters, Alisha, Kendall, Ashley and Erica; and one great great-grandson, Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one brother, Orville Cockrum; on (sic) sister, Dorothy Dale; one son-in-law, Law Norman Norris; and one grandson-in-law, Dennis Cerruti.
