Private in the 14th Regiment Virginia
The 14th Virginia Regiment was raised on September 16, 1776 in western Virginia for service with the Continental Army. The regiment would see action at the Battle of Brandywine, and Battle of Germantown in 1777.

Enoch served in the military as a private in the First Regiment under Lt. Col. Thomas Posey.

The Bible apparently belonged Jeremiah and Edith (Davis) Cox or more probable one of their children. It sold on Ebay for about $100, but was able to save the link and transcribe the information before it sold.
