Born in Ithaca, NY on April 5, 1918, he was a son of the late Alexander J. and Edith (Bouchard) Gilbert, Jr. Alexander has lived in West Conshohocken since 1967, formerly of Conshohocken and New York. He worked with General Electric as a computer specialist launching weather satellites. He was a former member of West Conshohocken Boro Council; a member of the Masonic Lodge in Ithaca, NY and enjoyed traveling. He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Rosenquist of Garland, TX; brother Robert Gilbert of Oxford, NY; sister Edna Paeglow of Ft. Meyers, FL; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a son Alexander J. Gilbert IV.
