Mrs. Alice Merritt, age 84, died Monday morning in the Golden Rule Nursing Home, Danville, after an extended illness. She had been a patient there for the past three years.
She was born near Danville, the daughter of James and Mary Todd. She married the late George Merritt who died in 1934. They had lived in and near Danville their entire lives.
Services were Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., in the Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Maurice Ankrom of Lizton conducting the service. Burial was in the South Cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Vannie Leak of Lizton, and Mrs. Clarice Foster, of Indianapolis.
