August Wild, a resident of this city for many years, succumbed to an illness of four year's duration at his home on Saturday evening, death being due to a stroke.

The deceased was born on May 24, 1867, in town Le Roy, attaining the age of 65 years. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sebastian Wild.

On Jan. 16, 1892, he was married to Miss Anna Lehner. Several months after their marriage they came to this city, but left later for a farm near Oakfield, where they lived for some years. They also made their home at Knowles and Le Roy, before returning to this city, where he established a painting and decorating business, which he conducted for 16 years.

Surviving the deceased are his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Fred Collien of Oakfield. One daughter, Olga, preceded the father in death. Four grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from the late home on Walnut street to St. Mary's Catholic church. The Rev. R. A. Kramer officiated, and burial took place in the new parish cemetery.
