He left behind to mourn his wife, Bessie L. Brown Maddox. Bessie later remarried Mr. Perry.

Also surviving him were his mother Eula Lee League Maddox, Sons: Milton Paul and Walter Clyde, three Sisters; Della Echols, Misses Estell, and Evell Maddox, five Brothers; E.F., F.O., C.O., J.A., all of Atlanta, and A.J. Maddox of Montgomery, Alabama.
