He was driving his car around 4:00 am to a friend's house, they were going to go fishing. The police pulled him over for a broken tail light and found out he had one or more unpaid driving or parking tickets and impounded the car. They forced him to walk, this was on Oso Parkway between Marguerite Parkway and Felipe Road in the city of Mission Viejo, in the fog. He was crossing the street in the crosswalk when two cars came whizzing by, the first missed him but the second one hit him killing him instantly. The parents of John hired a lawyer to investigate the police department as to why they would force him to walk in the fog at 4:00 am in the morning, not giving him the opportunity to call for a ride. The police could not find any record of John having been pulled over, before the accident. It was then determined that the police officer who pulled him over must have not followed police procedures in forcing him to walk and therefore conveniently lost the original citation, but no proof could be found to collaborate this determination.
My question is, if the police could not find any record of him getting a citation, who knew he got pulled over? Was there a witness?

John was very computer savvy even in 1995 when the Internet was in its beginning stages. I am sure if he was still alive today he would be a great computer technician and/or programmer.

John was the 6th child born to Betty May (Shapley) Bonk, the second child of John Paul Bonk.

John has a son, Adam, who was 8 years old when his father was killed.

John, as of the time of his death, was survived by his son Adam and Adam's mother, Alice, and a step-son; his brother Paul; sister Peggy; father John Paul Bonk and mother Betty May (Shapley) Bonk, and a half brother, and 3 half sisters, and 10 half nieces and nephews.
