Our respected citizen, E.D. Jacobs died at the hospital in Lincoln, NE, on Thursday, June 27, 1912, and the remains were brought to Stockton Saturday morning, accompanied by the bereaved wife, 2 sons, Archie and Finley, and their wives, and by George Jacobs, a nephew. The funeral was held at the Christian Church Sunday afternoon. Members of the Woodmen order were out in force.
Ezra D. Jones was born at Jackson, Ohio, November 28, 1852. He resided in Ohio till the summer of 1884 when he came to Alton, Kansas; lived there until 1890, when he moved to Stockton where he has resided ever since.
He leaves a wife and 5 children, Ruth Jacobs of Venango, NE; Archie E. of Lincoln, Nebraska; Mrs. W.J. Balderston of Stockton; Finley W., Minneapolis; Mrs. H.B. Look of Stockton; besides 9 grandchildren; 4 brothers; and numerous relatives to mourn his loss.
