Rudolph Brandt Buried June 8 At Rose City
Rudolph Brandt was born in Spruce Hill Township on May 29, 1905 the son of Oscar and Sadie (Nelson) Brandt. He served in the U. S. armed services for three years, from 1929 to 1932. Mr. Brandt has lived in Alexandria the last ten yers. He was a collector of firearms and an active member of the Alexandria Rifle Club.
He passed away Monday afternoon at the age of 52 years, and 4 days. He had been in poor health for several years.
Survivors are three sisters, Miss Olga Brandt of Riverside, Calif., (Florence) Mrs. Andrew Anderson of Rose City, Mrs. Esther Epperson of Butte Montana, a niece.
Service details: Funeral service for Rudolph Brandt were held Saturday, June 8 at 1 pm from the Engstrom-Maetzold Funeral Home. The Rev Oliver Ruud officiated. Mrs. Hjalmer Johnson and John Fredman sang a duet "Beyond he Sunset" and Rev. Oliver Ruud sang the Lord's Prayer, accompanied by Mrs. Richard Olson. Pallbearers were Herman Fahlin, John Fredman, Bremer Heglund, Arthur Melin, Phillip Peterson and Louis Rose.
