In fact, the 1880 US Census, Justice Precinct 2, Rockwall, Texas, United States, puts Clarence in the McLendon household along with two other non-McLendons. I could find no marriage record for Clarence and Eula. When Eula marries George Fletcher Powell on January 18, 1893, in Kaufman County, Texas, she uses her maiden "McLendon" name . Mary Eulalie "Eula" McLendon Powell dies May 12, 1895, in Texas. In the 1900 US Census, Terrell, Kaufman, Texas, United States, Isham P (Preston) Austin is in Anna L McLendon's household, age 17, with relationship, Grandson, to Anna, who is the widowed head of the household.
