The former Maude Lewis, Mrs. Wilson will be remembered for a life time devoted to her church and music. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Danville, where she served as organist, choir director and teacher. Charter president of the Danville Music Club, she is widely known for her work in local and state music circles. Mrs. Wilson attended Danville schools and Galloway College in Searcy.
With her husband, survivors include: a son, Jack Lewis Wilson, of Danville; a daughter, Lynnette Thorp (Mrs. Matthew B.) of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Maize George of Ola and Mrs. Hazel Cooper of Little Rock.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Danville with burial by Cornwell Funeral Service at the Danville Cemetery.
