Funeral services for Thomas G. (Chan) Hamrick, 72, of Hamilton will be held Thursday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m. at Riley Funeral Chapel with Mr. Roland McLean and Mr. Jim Sullenger officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Hamrick, who had lived in the Hamilton area almost all of his life, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Hamilton General Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born in Hamilton County on July 5, 1916, and on Oct. 7, 1942, he married Mary Davis. He worked in construction for many years, and then was an employee of the Texas Highway Department for 26 year before his retirement. He was a member of the Southside Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hamrick of Hamilton; one sister Ethel Grisham of Arlington; one brother, Vernon Hamrick of Goldthwaite; and a number of other relatives.
