Born June 23, 1900, in Woolstock, Iowa, he married Althea Carlson June 13, 1921 in Clarion, Iowa. He has made his home in Owatonna since 1934, operating a grocery store here and later his own light delivery business for many years.
Survivors include his wife, one son, Keith, of Rochester, one daughter, Mrs. T. G. (Anita) Beaty of Owatonna, four grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Lettie) Smith of Waterloo, Iowa, and Mrs. Charles (Pearl) Fisher of Emmetsburg, Iowa, and one brother, Grover Barton of Spencer, Iowa. The Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
