Caroline Jane Alexander, 101, of Dixon, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015, in the Dixon Nursing and Rehab, Dixon. She was born August 21, 1913, in Fairview, Oklahoma a daughter of James and Alma (Bailey) Shelton. Married October 10, 1931, in Vienna to Luther J. Alexander, who preceded her in death on December 29, 1995. She was a member of the Dixon Church of Christ. Survivors: 2 sons, Jack Alexander and wife, Mary, Springfield and Dariel Alexander and fiancée, Kathleen Creamer, Dixon; Three daughters, Brenda Aaron and husband, Johnny; Linda Overshon and husband, Bob and Angela Baker and husband, Danny, all of Dixon; 2 daughters-in-law, Patsy Alexander and Maxine Alexander, both of Dixon; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 2 p.m., with the funeral service at 2 p.m. all on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in the Church of Christ at 12000 Highway 28 Dixon.
Interment will be in the West Fairview Cemetery near Dixon under the direction of the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
Memorials are suggested to the Fair Haven Home for Children, Strafford, MO.
