JENNINGS - Funeral services for Lester W. Dasch, 81, will be at 2 p.m. today,
Nov. 22, in Immanuel Lutheran Church.
The Rev. Gary Koopman will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery
under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 8 a.m. in the funeral home.
Mr. Dasch died at 1:10 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, in a Welsh care center.
He was a lifelong resident of Jennings. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army,
serving in World War II. He was a retired office supply salesman. He was a
member and past commander of both the V.F.W. Post 3686 and James O. Hall
American Legion Post 19. He served on the Jennings American Legion Hospital
Board of Directors and the Jennings Housing Authority for 15 years. He was a
member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he was a deacon, member of the
building committee and served on the church board.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Roberts Dasch of Jennings; two sons, the
Rev. Bill Dasch of Houston and Andy Dasch of Lake Charles; three daughters,
Debbie Dasch Nabours of Lake Charles, Darla Dasch Personey of Wichita, Kan.,
and Amy Dasch Presley of Jennings; 10 grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
