Myron G. Eaton.
Monday afternoon, at 1:40, April 1, 1912, occurred the death on the E. F. Chapin farm, southeast of LaHarpe, Myron G. Eaton, a resident of this city until about three weeks ago. His age was 60 years, 7 months and 36 days, and his ailment pneumonia. His sickness was so brief that many did not know of it until his death was announced.
Mr[.] Eaton was born in Cattaraugus county, New York, August 6, 1851, but lived in Illinois since he was 20 years old, most of the time in Hancock county. He was married at Dallas City, May 25, 1879 to Addie V. Archer. They have two sons, Clay, of this city, and G. W., of Keokuk. Mr. Eaton came to LaHarpe two years ago and has proven himself an exemplary citizen in every way.
Surviving him besides the immediate family are four brothers, Cyrus, of LaHarpe; Thomas, of Missouri; John, of Lansing, Mich., and Will, of Portland, Oregon.
The funeral occurs at the Christian church tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3 o'clock p. m., Elder E. A. Jordon officiating. Burial in LaHarpe cemetery.
