Lorenzo "Gene" Lujan, 66, of Cheyenne died Feb. 7 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 19, 1940, in Las Vegas, N.M., and had lived here most of his life.

Mr. Lujan had retired as dock foreman for Consolidated Freightways.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, International Union of Operating Engineers and a lifetime member of the Elks.

Mr. Lujan is survived by a nephew, Michael E. Murphy of Gaithersburg, Md.; four nieces, Gina M. Lujan, Margaret Y. Lopez and Pamela R. Webb, all of Cheyenne, and Robin E. (Mike) Bollinger of Eau Claire, Wis.; great-nieces and nephews, Amanda M. Grimm of Cheyenne, Stephanie M. Johnson of Phoenix, David J.E. Grimm of Cheyenne, Jamie A. Doyle of Eau Claire and Jordan M.T. Lopez, Hero L. Webb, Nicomedes J.R. Lopez and Madison E.A. Webb, all of Cheyenne; and great-great-niece and nephew, Sydney A. Wilson of Phoenix and Davien J. Grimm of Cheyenne; and the many lives that he touched.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicomedes and Cleofas Lujan; and three sisters, Lujanita Lujan, Mary Margaret Woolridge and Gloria Helen Bonds.
