Mrs. Fry died Saturday, May 29, 2010, in Tonganoxie Nursing Center.
She was born July 2, 1918 in Kansas City, Kan., a daughter of Earl B. and Martha (Behr) Gilbert. She attended Mark Twain Grade School and Wyandotte High School, both in Kansas City, Kan.
She married Andrew Jay Fry on June 2, 1934, in Olathe. He preceded her in death Jan. 31, 2005.
They made their home in Kansas City, Kan., where Mrs. Fry was a homemaker. They retired to Farlington in 1973 and to Tonganoxie in October 2004.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Kansas City.
Survivors are sons Richard Fry and wife, Kay, Warsaw, Mo., and Melvin Fry and wife, Shirley, Girard, and Donald Fry and wife, Rosie, of Erie; daughters, Uveda Otterman, Basehor, Marjorie Talkin and husband, Larry, Kansas City, Kan., and Barbara Cranor and husband, Ron, Tonganoxie; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Orletta Peterson, Kansas city, Kan.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren and two sisters, Marnetta and Alviva.
