Susan Louise Butler Flake, 91, of Rockville, Md., died Jan. 19 in Rockville Nursing Home, Rockville, Md. She was born Nov. 7, 1905, in Springfield. She married J.C. Flake in 1942. Mrs. Flake moved from the Chicago area to Rockville, Md., in 1970. She was a member of the local Presbyterian Church and a longtime active member of Rockville Presbyterian Church. Other memberships include Rockville Garden Club and Rockville Women's Club, where she had served as president. She studied at the Art Institute in Chicago and worked as a secretary in Chicago and vicinity.
Survivors: husband, J.C. Flake; a brother, Col. McClernand Butler of Ottawa; a niece; and two nephews.
Graveside Services: Oak Ridge Cemetery, the Rev. John Hembruch officiating. Memorial services held Jan. 22 at Rockville Presbyterian Church, Rockville, Md., the Rev. James H. Adams officiating.
