My Great Grandfather's 1st wife was Mary Rebecca Rice (1863 - bef. 1899). They were married between Jun 1879 to May 1880. They had 2 children together: George Foster (19 Sep 1880 - Dec 1969) and Ollie S. Foster (26 Jun 1886 - 19 May 1976). After Mary passed away my Great Grandfather left Alabama; his daughter remained in Alabama with her maternal Grandparents and eventually married Dallas Boyd. George eventually settled in New Mexico and had a ranch. Walter settled in Oklahoma for a time. He met & married my Great Grandmother, Cora Nay Turner. They were married on 5 Dec 1899 at Pearl, Indian Territory (Oklahoma). They had three sons: Walter Louis, John D & Joseph Glen. They left Oklahoma before 1920 and moved to Goose Lake, Lake County, Oregon. They finally settled in Phoenix, Jackson County, Oregon where my Grandfather remained from before 1926 until his death in 1941.
