OBITUARY
John Daly Hall was born November 12, 1829, in New York and died at Arnolds Park, Iowa, on September 17, 1915, at the age of 85 years, 10 month and 5 days.
On December 22, 1851 he was married to Sarah McCready. To this union was born five children, two dying in infancy, three still living and caring for their father during his last illness.
In 1854 they moved to eastern Iowa, where Mrs. Hall died on January 31, 1879. On March 1880, he was married to Lucy P. Hutchins and the following year they moved to Arnolds Park where they have since resided, with the exception of one year, in the late home.
He is survived by his wife, three children, Charles G., Alice M., and Medford M., also seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the M. E. church, a kind and good neighbor and friend to all whom he met. He tenderly cared for his invalid wife the past few years. He bore with patience the intense suffering of the last few weeks of his illness. He will be miss by a host of friends and neighbors.
The funeral was held at the home on Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. L. Gregory, pastor of the Friends Church. Interment was made in the Okoboji Cemetery.

God grant we may rest as calmly
When our work, like his, is done.
Till then we yield with gladness,
Our father to Him to keep,
And rejoice in the sweet assurance
He giveth His beloved sleep."
