Shower for Bride-elect.

Miss Agnes Rotter very pleasantly entertained about fifty ladies of St. Mary's parish, Grafton and Sutton, Wednesday afternoon of last week in honor of her cousin, Miss Anna Rotter, whose marriage to Edward Wachter took place at St. Mary's Catholic church (sic), Turkey creek, Tuesday morning, May 28. The rooms were prettily decorated in pink and white streamers and hearts. Miss Clara Lohmeier of Sutton sang several beautiful selections.

The ladies enjoyed several contests and games provided by the hostess. In guessing the words used by Mr. Wachter in his proposal of marriage to Miss Rotter, first prize was won by Miss Carrie Wachter of Sutton and second prize by Miss Bridgie O'Brien of Grafton. Miss Rotter, however, would not verify the correctness of either guess.

Delicious ice cream and cake in the prevailing colors of decoration was served. The bride-elect was the recipient of many beautiful gifts.
