Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 2:00pm at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Campground Cemetery near Woodville.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 15, 2014 from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
Sarah was born May 23, 1924 to Tom & Julia Marshall Huff in Earlysville, Virginia. She was a longtime resident of Tyler County. She liked reading & sewing and was very opinionated. She was from Virginian and was always a Virginian at heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom & Julia Huff; her husband, Douglas Brooks on July 20, 2013; brothers, Thomas Huff, Jr. & Everette Huff; and sister, Pauline Anderson.
She is survived by her daughters, Frances Broom & husband, Travis, and Sarah Gomez & husband, Eloy; brother, Dennis Huff & wife, Mary of Earlysville, VA; sisters, Betty Lawson of Earlysville, VA, and Shirley Huff of Charlottesville, VA; grandchildren, Cindy Jordan, Angie Garrett, James Shackelford and William Shackelford; great grandchildren, Jennifer Chalker & husband, Bobby, Fallon Garrett, Charles Curtis Odom & wife, Maegan, Danielle Garrett, Stephanie Shackelford, Jordan Shackelford, Dalton Shackelford, Jase Shackelford, and Kiley Garrett; great-great grandchildren, Bleize Parker, Slade Parker, Kynlee Chalker and Miley Odom.
