"Funeral service for Granville Owen "Monkey" Dennis, 34, was held Monday, March 27, 2000 at 2 p.m. at Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Sloan, Norman Turner, Keith Bellamy and Lewis Tubbs officiating. Burial followed at Camp Ground Cemetery near Woodville, Texas.

Visitation was held Sunday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Dennis died March 23, 2000 in Woodville, Texas.

Born November 1, 1965 in Woodville, he was a driller for Nabors Drilling Company and a member of the Woodville Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Lee Dennis of Woodville; daughters, Tasha Lee, Mary, and Amanda Dennis all of Woodville; parents, Lee and Nyla Dennis of Woodville; brothers, Dusty Dennis of Woodville, Rowland "Tooty" Dennis of Nederland, Wayne Dennis of Woodville; sisters, Beverly Ann Stafford of Woodville and Wanda Oronigo of Warren; brothers, Butch Dennis and Tommy Dennis both of Oklahoma; nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers were Jay Smith, Dan Hicks, Ray Russell, Therman Hester, Lee Dennis, Buster Parks, and Tim Dennis. Serving as
honorary pallbearers were Lindy Dees, J.W. Courtney, Ryan Dennis and Gerald Dennis and the employees of Nabors Rig # 10.

Services were under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
