ELTON — The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2005, in Ardoin Funeral Home of Elton for
Bonnie Jean Garbarino "Miss Bonnie" Granger, 71, who died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, in Cornerstone North Retirement Village in Lafayette.

"Miss Bonnie" will always be remembered for her beautiful handwriting, her love of books and the education that she shared with all those she taught.

Her years of service in education will be remembered by all her students.

Survivors include one daughter, Shonna Granger Gott and her husband, John, of Lafayette; two precious grandsons, John-Michael and Sean-Paul Gott, both of Lafayette; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, U.A. "Chick" Granger, formerly of Elton; and parents,Roy and Ida Garbarino, formerly of Elton.

The family wishes to express gratitude to a host of family and friends for all their love and concern throughout the years. To all the wonderful loving caregivers of Cornerstone North, you are all "angels from God sent to help those who need so much love and care." Hospice of Acadiana, we thank you for helping "the long goodbye and in dignity and comfort."

Visitation is from 8 a.m. Thursday, with a rosary at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in Elton. Donations may be given to Hospice of Acadiana.
