Visitation The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Click Funeral Home.
Funeral Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m.
Interment Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 9:30 Monday morning and proceed to the Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services at 10 a.m.

David Lynn DeArmond - age 65, of Lenoir City passed away Friday, May 28, 2010.

David was a devoted husband, loving father and brother, and a talented musician. He began studying trumpet as a child and after attending the University of Tennessee on a full scholarship he toured across the United States as a professional trumpet player for ten years. After touring he returned to Lenoir City with his wife and daughter to work as a journeyman electrician and then went on to work for the Lenoir City Utilities Board until his retirement in 2008.

Throughout the years David volunteered his time and energy to teach several trumpet students, including his son, and played with local musicians including Boys Night Out. Generosity was a marked characteristic of David who never met a stranger and had a wonderful sense of humor. His helpful nature touched several throughout the community. David was a member of First Baptist Church in Lenoir City.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Luther DeArmond; sister, Mary Ruth Wheeler; and brother-in-law, John W. Daughtery. Survived by his wife of 42 years, Becky Williams DeArmond; daughter, Christa Lynn DeArmond; son and daughter-in-law, Davy and Holly DeArmond; mother, V. Ruth Crass; sister and brother-in-law, Carole Ann and Leroy Humphreys; nephews, Rusty Humphreys and wife, Valerie, Randy Humphreys, Jon Long and wife, Robyn, Charles Long and wife, Colleen; aunt, Ernestine Gann; brother-in-law, Charles Wheeler and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Daugherty.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 9:30 Monday morning and proceed to the Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Knoxville, 1407 East 5th Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37917.
