A lifetime resident of Redkey area, she had been a housekeeper at the Jay County Hospital and formerly worked at the C.A.A.R. Canning Factory in Redkey. She had been a clothing seamstress.
Born Aug. 2, 1912, in Redkey, she was the daughter of Harry and Glenna (Hyatt) Daniels. She was married to Walter William "Bill" Wood, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Patty E. Smith, Redkey; one son, James J. Wood, Redkey; one brother, Harley Daniels, Pennville; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 14 stepgreat-great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at MJS Mortuaries Redkey Chapel with Rev. Joe Hines officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
