Ada Ruth Allison, 94, of 402 Douglas Street, Cartersville, died Monday January 11, 1988. She was a homemaker, member of Beards Baptist Church in Union Point and daughter of the late John L and Anna Winfrey Young.
Survivors include three sons, John L Allison, Alsa Allison, both of Cartersville; Robert Allison, Decatur; two daughters, Virginia Louise Caldwell, Marietta; Lola Ruth Greene,, Cartersville; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one grest-great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from the Owen Chapel with the Rev. John Agnew officiating. Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Union Point from the Beards Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Allison, Richard Greene, Louis Caldwell, Douglas Caldwell, James Bowling and Raymond Wallace. Owen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
