Daughter of Charles Lester and Charlotte B. Dixon Hanes born in rural Coffey County on the family farm. After her father died she lived with her Aunt Anna Thorne in Los Angeles California where she graduated from High School. After returning to Kansas she was with the Hines family and her brother Lyle. She married 1st Clarence Wilburn Rickman 9 May 1934 they divorced then She married Virgil Orren McDonald 1937 he survives other survivors are a daughter & son in law
