Funeral services for Miss Faye McKeighan, 72, Chicago, were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Kidd Funeral Home in Toulon. Miss McKeighan died Thursday evening, April 29, 1965, at the Presbyterian St. Luke's hospital in Chicago. Although she had a home in Toulon, she had spent many years in Chicago. Rev. Eugene Anderson, pastor of Toulon Baptist church, officiated. Mrs. Robert Schmidt was the organist and Mrs. LeRoy Miller was soloist. Pallbearers were J. E. Richards, R. D. Finney, Joseph Drake, Bill Jones, Willard Price and Joel Wright. Burial was in the Toulon cemetery. Miss Effie Lyon "Faye" McKeighan was a daughter of Sylvester and Effie McKeighan and was born Nov. 3, 1892, in Toulon. She was a graduate of Toulon Academy. Her various interests were in the arts: weaving, knitting and painting. She spent much time in the last few years in painting which led her to take courses at the Chicago Art Institute. Miss McKeighan was a member of the National Fellowship of Congregational Christian churches. She is survived by a sister, Miss Pauline McKeighan, Chicago, and her cousins, Miss Henrietta Silliman and Mrs. E. H. Rennick Sr., Toulon, and their families. Her parents and a sister, Miss Laura McKeighan, preceded her in death.
