Lawrence Edwin Crider, 67, was stricken last Thursday morning while standing at the cash register of T.H. Cochran and Co. establishment of which he was a firm member. Death was practically instantaneous and attributed to a heart attack.

Born in the Chapel Hill section, on the site of the present John Cochran home, he attended Chapel Hill school and for several years after completing education remained on the farm of his parents until removed to Marion in 1901. At that time he accepted clerkship in the present Cochran firm and later became a member of the organization, member Kentucky Retail Hardware Assn. and director of Tradewater Oil Co.

Survivors are his wife; formerly Maud Hill, to whom he was married in 1901; daughter, Mrs. Jas. King, Maryville, Tenn.; son Hubert D., Muskegon, Mich.; sister, Mrs. Sallie Hina, Marion; two brothers, Jacob, Crittenden Co., and Albert F., Shreveport, La.
