Mrs. Matilda Pool, aged 73 years and 9 months, mother of Mrs. Tobe Harwood, died at 2:45 o'clock A.M. Thursday, [20 Feb 1919] at home of her daughter on Dallas Avenue. The funeral services, in charge of the Rev. W. L. Smith, were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harwood on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery (now Pine Crest Cemetery) [in Polk Co., Arkansas.]
